EAS Summer 2016 Field Trips

SUMMER FIELD TRIPS

The Earth & Atmospheric Sciences department is hosting a series of geoscience field trips this summer, free and open to the public! Destinations include Rocky Mountain National Park, Carter Lake, Red Mountain Open Space, Lyons, Estes Park, and more. Trips are scheduled between June 1 and July 27, and registration is required two weeks prior to each trip. See the flyer for more details.

UNC Meteorology Student Selected for Prestigious Workshop, Scholarship

UNC meteorology major Tim Corrie received two pieces of good news during spring semester when he learned he was one of 21 students from across the country selected to attend the National Center for Atmospheric Research's Undergraduate Leadership Workshop this summer, and that he's the sole recipient of the North American Weather Modification Council's annual $1,500 scholarship and $1,000 travel stipend.
