Entries are being accepted for a University of Northern Colorado scholarship drawing in recognition of the Greeley Independence Stampede, which kicked off this week, and the university's partnership with the city.
One scholarship will go to a prospective undergraduate student, one to a prospective graduate student and one to a prospective extended campus student through a random drawing of eligible participants who sign up at www.uncstampedescholarships.com before midnight July 6. One entry per person per scholarship is allowed.
The transferrable scholarships will cover tuition for the first semester for new students.
UNC offers over 100 undergraduate programs, over 100 graduate programs, and 60 programs at its extended campuses in Loveland, Denver, Colorado Springs or online.
UNC employees, their parents, members of their immediate family or household and current UNC students are not eligible for the drawing.
The drawing for the scholarships is being publicized on UNC's home page and social media sites as well as in the official Stampede program, on the event's website and social media pages, and through public address announcements and banners at various events in the Stampede arena.
Also, a 30-second video promoting UNC will be broadcast on the arena's big-screen TV during events.
