The campus community and public are invited to open forums with finalists for the position of Director of Athletics. The forums, which begin at 11:45 a.m., will provide an opportunity to meet the finalists before their 12:15 p.m. presentations and Q&A sessions that follow. Lunch will be provided. Both forums will be held in the Panorama Room at the University Center. The schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, Oct. 31: Darren Dunn, deputy athletics director at the University of Houston. With 23 years of experience in athletics, he has served at Northern Illinois, Tulsa and New Mexico. A four-year letterman in baseball at the University of Denver, he earned his bachelor's degree in political science/business administration in 1991. He also hold a master's degree in sports administration from New Mexico in 1992.
- Friday, Nov. 1: Brandon Macneill, executive associate athletic director at Tulane University. Macneill previously served eight years in athletics administration at the University of Kansas, three years at Princeton, two years at Dartmouth, and in collegiate marketing for a group based at the University of Hawaii. Macneill earned a bachelor's degree from Tulane in 1993 and a master's from the University of Connecticut (where he also interned in athletics) in 1997.
