The board of directors of the University of Northern Colorado Foundation has named Rod Esch as president.
Esch, a UNC alumnus, served as a director on the foundation's board before being named president.
He's most recently been serving as an executive advisor and board member to his client companies. Before that he built a successful career at First Data, eventually becoming president of one of its companies - Integrated Payment Systems.
His previous experience also includes serving as a financial officer for an information technology company and as an accountant with Ernst & Young.
Esch graduated from UNC in 1981 with a degree in accounting.
He replaces Cynthia Evans, who retired from the foundation in August.
The UNC Foundation manages the money raised by UNC, handling the receipt, investing and stewardship of approximately $100 million in assets and related donor information.
