Join the Women's Resource Center as they celebrate Eating Disorders Awareness Week at UNC, Feb. 25-27. Discuss the most common misconceptions of eating disorders, challenge society's current notions of beauty and get in touch with your creative side at the following events:
Mind and Body Fair 10 a.m.-1 p.m. | Monday, Feb. 25 | University Center
Get a henna tattoo or make a button with a positive message to display on a shirt or backpack. Representatives from the different organizations on campus as well as off-campus chiropractic and massage facilities will be there to answer any questions your have.
Canvas and Chocolates 7-9 p.m. | Wednesday, Feb. 27 | University Center Ballrooms
Paint a picture that that's one-of-a-kind, just like you. Light refreshments will be served, and all art supplies will be provided by the Women's Resource Center. To RSVP, call 970-351-1492 on or before Feb. 22.
Each of these events are intended to help individuals celebrate who they are, and to raise awareness about the difficult world of eating disorders.
