Nominations for UNC's first-ever Embracing Community Engaged Scholarship and Partnership Awards to recognize excellence and scholarship in the field of community-based research, community-based learning, and community partner building are due Tuesday, Nov. 1. Categories awarded will include: undergraduate student, graduate student, faculty member, staff (exempt and classified staff), and Greeley/Weld County/regional organization.
All nominee finalists will be recognized with a commemorative certificate at the award ceremony during Embracing Community at 1 p.m. Nov. 15 in the University Center ballrooms. One undergraduate and one graduate student will receive a $100 cash award, while one community organization, one faculty and one UNC staff member will receive a plaque.
Nominees are not required to present at Embracing Community but are encouraged to do so if possible.
