UNC Graduate Student Publishes Bat Article in Leading Journal

Mark Hayes, a doctoral student studying Biological Sciences at UNC, published in The Journal of Wildlife Management research on mine reclamations and renewed mining efforts and the affect on a bat species of significant conservation concern in the western United States. This article describes the characteristics of abandoned mines used by this species in southwestern Colorado. This species is the bat species of most conservation concern in Colorado and much of the western U.S. Read the article at:
