UNC Education Dean Appointed to State Leadership Board

The dean of the University of Northern Colorado College of Education and Behavioral Sciences has been appointed by the Colorado Department of Education to its State Leadership Academy Board.

Eugene Sheehan will serve a three-year term on the 14-member committee that advises the State Board of Education on topics that include recruitment of and professional development for current and future public schools principals.

Sheehan, who's served as the college's dean since 2000 and at UNC since 1986, has served on several statewide groups, including the Governor's P-20 Council and the Colorado Literacy Council.
