Biography

My name is Melissa Chowning. I am a senior here at UNC, and I am an anthropology major with a biology minor. I am currently working toward becoming a bioarchaeologist. My academic goals are to graduate UNC and move on to a graduate school to pursue a PhD degree. Professionally, I would like to work for a university or for a research lab or company. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but raised in Colorado Springs. I love to shoot my bow and jam out to metal music. I am most proud of the opportunities I have been given to travel and conduct human skeletal research in Albania and Sicily.
