The Research Consulting Lab

Mission

To help generate a vibrant academic environment that will develop innovative, distinctive applied research.

The Research Consulting Lab offers a variety of training programs and workshops dealing with research and statistical issues. Sessions include orientations to using SAS, SPSS, and NVivo software on PCs. Occasional workshop sections are devoted specifically to qualitative studies. Hardware

The computers in the Lab are Gateway PCs attached to B/W laser printers using the pay-for-print system and include the following features:

  • Two open USB ports
  • DVD/CD-RW drive
  • Zip 250 drive

Software

The computers in the Lab use Windows XP and feature the most recent versions of the following software:

  • Microsoft Office
  • SAS
  • SPSS
  • NVivo
  • Internet Explorer
  • Acrobat Reader
