Student must be admitted into a graduate degree program at UNC. Preference will be given to those enrolled in HESA, ELPS, Counseling, or related field. Experience in women's resource centers, student activities, or cultural centers preferred. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of self-direction, organization, initiative, and reliability. Possess desire and ability to serve a diverse clientele in addition to knowledge of feminism and women's initiatives.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to: advising student groups, planning and implementing programs, administering program budgets, supervising interns and volunteers, and managing publicity and public relations. This position requires some evening and weekend hours.
.39 FTE (9 month position, 20 hours per week.) Qualifies for in-state tuition assistance.

We are now offering internship opportunities that will allow students to utilize and gain leadership skills. The Women’s Resource Center provides programs, discussions, and materials on women’s issues, initiatives, and development.
The student must be admitted in an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Northern Colorado. Experience in women’s resource centers, student activities, or cultural centers is preferred. The student must demonstrate organization, initiative, and reliability. Additionally, the student must possess the desire and ability to serve in a diverse environment. The student must also have the desire to strengthen their leadership abilities.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: assisting the graduate assistant in coordinating annual events such as Take Back the Night, Eating Disorders Awareness Week, Women’s History Month, and the Women’s Recognition Reception. The intern would also help coordinate speaking events and co-sponsored events. Participation in outreach and recruitment would also be required.
This position requires 5-10 hours per week for the academic year. No salary will be acquired in this position.

The student must be currently enrolled at UNC and have been awarded work-study. Please, check with financial aid before applying to find out if you are eligible, and ask whether your work-study award is state or federal. Students must be able to work between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Some extended evenings and weekend hours may be required. Hours will vary depending on class schedule and work-study award allotment.
