    Beethoven in the Rockies (BITR): Concert Series will present a series of five concerts beginning Sept. 15 in the University of Northern Colorado’s Campus Commons Performance Hall, 1051 22nd St. in Greeley, CO. Adam Piotr Żukiewicz, DMA, UNC associate professor of Piano, is the founder and artistic director of the festival.

    "Beethoven in the Rockies: Concert Series will focus on providing access to excellent quality performances with an educational component. The series will actively engage and promote artists representing diverse communities of the Northern Colorado region, while also offering the opportunity to our audiences to interact with national and international guest artists and presenters in an approachable setting,” said Żukiewicz.

    The 2023 BITR season will feature some of the most beautiful orchestras and diverse ensembles from across the area. Featured chamber ensembles and orchestras this season will include the Boulder Chamber Orchestra, the Boulder Chorale, the Greeley Chamber Orchestra, and the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra. Also featured are acclaimed national and international artists, University of Northern Colorado music students, guest speakers, and some of the most prominent members of the Greeley community.

    To start off the season, the much-anticipated Boulder Chamber Orchestra will return under the direction of Maestro Bahman Saless. The orchestra will present an exciting program featuring acclaimed violinist Jubal Fulks, DMA, UNC associate professor of Violin, for a performance of Dvořák’s poetic “Romance” for violin and orchestra. Croatian-Austrian pianist Petar Klasan, winner of numerous national and international prizes, will also join the orchestra for Beethoven’s heroic Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor.

    The 2023–2024 season will offer many exciting performances of both classic masterworks and world premieres. During this exciting time for growth within the Greeley artistic community, the community is encouraged to enjoy a BITR concert to show their support.

    All events are open to the public and all are invited to attend.

    The 2023 schedule for the season is as follows:

    • Friday, September 15 at 7 PM – Boulder Chamber Orchestra
    • Friday, September 29 at 7 PM – Greeley Chamber Orchestra
    • Sunday, October 8 at 3 PM – Boulder Chorale with the Boulder Chamber Orchestra
    • Friday, October 20 at 7 PM – Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra

    Free and ticket pricings are as follows:

    Tickets for all concerts are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors age 65 years and older, and $15 for students age 15 years and older with ID. All concerts are free for children under 14, veterans and active military personnel. All purchases are subject to processing fees based on the total order of tickets.
