    The Affordable and Open Educational Resources (AOER) Committee invites you to the panel “Open Minds, Open Books: Student and Faculty Perspectives on Open Educational Resources,” taking place on April 19, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Zoom. This event will feature:

    • Cassie Bergstrom, Ph.D., associate professor of Psychological Sciences
    • Holly Carlton, undergraduate Psychology and Sociology double major
    • Daniel Mangandi-Escobar, undergraduate Philosophy and Psychology double major
    • Bailie Peterson, Ph.D., associate professor of Philosophy 

    During the panel, faculty who use OER in their teaching will explain their motivations for adopting OER, their strategies for assessing the reliability of these materials and how use of OER has impacted their teaching. The student panelists will share their perspectives on the accessibility of course materials, how OER have influenced their learning experiences and their thoughts on the inclusivity fostered by the use of OER.
