Members of the UNC Libraries Liaison Model Taskforce recently accepted the Colorado Association of Libraries (CAL) award for 2023 Project of the Year at the CAL annual conference in Loveland. The taskforce members, Rachel Dineen, Jen Leffler, Brianne Markowski, Jen Mayer and Stephanie Wiegand were recognized for their work completing the Libraries Strategic Plan objective to re-envision our liaison model.

The group took a collaborative and inclusive process to gather feedback from Libraries employees during the months-long process, which involved investigating models at other academic libraries and evolving draft models. The resulting changes acknowledged a reduction in our personnel, while continuing to serve students and faculty at the same levels with a more flexible approach, while allowing for more focus in our areas of expertise: archives, collections, information literacy and scholarly communication.
