On Saturday, Sept. 9, the Brewing Lab Sciences Program is hosting the 8th Annual Bears Brews and Bites beer festival. In partnership with Athletics, this event takes place during the tailgate
of the first home football game every season during the Fan Fest Tailgate.
The festival is the main fundraiser for the Brewing Lab Sciences Program at UNC and has assisted in the past in providing scholarship opportunities as well as new equipment for the students to utilize in the BREW courses at UNC. This year, 12 breweries will be present and the festival includes unlimited samples, a Bears Brews and Bites commemorative glass and a general admission ticket to the football game.
Tickets purchased before Thursday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m., will also include a food voucher for lunch at one of the participating food trucks. UNC Faculty and staff can get $5 off their ticket by contacting the ticket office directly.
