Did you know that there are over 19,000 estimated cancer cases and almost 7,000 estimated cancer deaths for 2007 right here in Colorado? Unfortunately, it is likely that you, your family, or your friends have been impacted by cancer. Cancer touches us all.
But there is hope! In 2006, the American Cancer Society proudly announced the huge drop in cancer rates, one of the largest in history! This is thanks in part to volunteers who have taken a stand to actively promote early detection and prevention, legislative measures, and who have raised money for cancer research.
Do you want to be a part in eliminating cancer and its devastating effects? Maybe you’ve known a loved one who was diagnosed with cancer or maybe you’ve heard of Relay For Life. Perhaps you would like to boost your resume or fulfill some community service requirements. This is your chance to honor and remember those affected and to fight back. Colleges Against Cancer is looking for members and officers dedicated to fighting cancer.
