A Widget is a piece of content that has formatting built in and can be placed on one page, several pages, or repeated throughout the site. It’s like a little tiny page or include file. You create it first, publish it, then add the pathname to the Page Parameters (for single page) or _props file (for a Subsection) to allow the Widget to display. Each page must have the right sidebar turned on in the Page Parameters to allow the Widget to display.

There are several prebuilt Widgets, such as a contact us box, UNC calendar list of events, social media icons, and open edit content Widget. The purpose is to make it easy to add information in a UNC branded format to your web pages.
