About Me

Year: Graduate Student - Masters

Major/Minor: Music Performance

Involvement:I am actively involved in the music department, being in the UNCO Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and the Bear Lake Quintet. I also work with the department in the UNCO Bands Library.

Why I want to be a part of Student Senate: In general, I want to work towards a better university for current and future students. I want to ensure that current students have access to the best support, facilities, and education that they can get so they can flourish not only while they are here in school, but after with their careers. I also want to make sure that all student voices do get heard and advocated for.

Qualities/Experiences: As a strong-willed and compassionate person, I can get to the heart of what students want or need and make that a priority for me to push towards. My work in administration positions in the past at public schools and colleges that make me feel confident in working and understanding the behind the scenes to make the ideas happen for the people I advocate for.

2022-2023 Goals

Ultimately, I want to push for a new building for Frasier. The building is in need of repair at the least. I would also want to advocate for more funding in general for PVA to support more full-time faculty and for students. I would also love to connect PVA more though concert series, performance nights, or other means to foster a better sense of connectedness and community. Finally, I would love to create ways to make students feel more comfortable communicating issues that they feel matter and give them the voice and ability to be heard and involved with their school and education.
