He/Him/His
Year: Freshman
Major/Minor: Instrumental Performance - Horn
Involvement:I'm a member of the Wind Ensemble band and I also help the Symphonic band. I'm currently a student-employee working for dining services. I've held a temporary position in senate acting as a proxy for SPA Funding.
Why I want to be a part of Student Senate: After living in Texas my whole life, moving to Colorado to attend UNC was a huge change for me; I felt uncertain about what to expect. After attending the town hall meeting for the closure of TK dining hall, I felt that there was a group on campus that stood up for me, my peers, and my life as a student. I gained the interest to become involved with this community. Representing my program, PVA, is something that I feel passionate about. Being a student senator would give me the opportunity to support my community as it has supported me.
Qualities/Experiences: Throughout high school I was put into multiple leadership positions in my band program. While this doesn't equate to the level of a student senator, I believe I have a head start to become a successful member of the student senate. Also, as stated in the previous question, I am very passionate about the PVA program, and I believe that it takes passion and care to truly make a difference.
My main goals would be to push the improvement of Fraiser Hall, and to support the PVA students as a representative of the program.
