He/Him/His
Year: Freshmen
Major/Minor: Software Engineering; Communication
Involvement:Currently, I am a member of UNC's Honors Interdisciplinary Program and I am the Philanthropy Chair for my fraternity Delta Sigma Phi.
Why I want to be a part of Student Senate: I want to be a part of UNC's Student Senate in order to advocate for my fellow students because I believe their perspectives and voices are important. I also want to ensure UNC continues to be a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. Lastly I want to help solve the environmental challenges UNC is facing as a school and as a community in any way I can.
Qualities/Experiences: Some qualities that will enable me to be a successful Student Senator include my relentless work ethic, organization skills, openmindedness, and my ability to stay calm in stressful situations. In high school, I started my own small business. I was the Captain of the cross country team and the lacrosse team. Currently I am the Philanthropy Chair for Delta Sigma Phi and I am using that position to not only raise money for A Woman's Place, which is the cause our chapter chose to support, but also to spread awareness to end gender-based violence. These qualities and experiences from starting my own business to being Philanthropy Chair made me into a better leader and will help me be a successful Senator for the Monfort College of Business.
If elected my goals include: Increasing UNC's efforts to fight gender-based violence and sexual assault, finding ways to increase the environmental efforts to battle climate change, and ensuring every students voice is heard.
