  • CHE participants will have the option to schedule either face-to-face or virtual appointments with CHE staff using a Microsoft Office Bookings link on our website. CHE staff have created services that participants can select, and each service will have a face-to-face or virtual option. Participants can also call the CHE main office at (970) 351-1905 if they would prefer to schedule appointments with our front desk staff.

  • Virtual services include, but are not limited to: supplemental academic advising, peer writing tutoring, and support, peer and professional mentoring, financial aid assistance, office hours with CHE instructors, coaching related to various issues related to student success. Program engagement sessions will also take place virtually. Writing tutoring will only be available by scheduling a virtual appointment with a peer writing tutor, no face-to-face tutoring sessions are available at this time. The virtual sessions will use either Teams or Zoom, depending on what the participant is most comfortable using and depending on the capacity limitations of each platform. The CHE main office (L-116 Michener) will be available for participants who need a quiet place to study. The maximum capacity is limited to ten students at any given time, and students must wear CDC approved facial coverings. Students will have a dedicated workstation, equipped with hand sanitizer while studying in the CHE office. Students can reserve study spaces in one-hour increments by calling the CHE main office at 970-351-1905. The CHE staff is responsible for cleaning the workstation once it becomes available for the next participant. Participants will not be allowed to gather in the CHE main office between classes. There will be adequate signage notifying participants that masks are required in the CHE office. Three CHE professional staff will have hybrid work schedules, while the other two professional staff members work remotely.

Campus colleagues can reach CHE professional staff by email or phone. CHE Peer Academic Advisors, Tutors, and Mentors will provide their weekly schedules to their caseloads/tutees/mentees at the beginning of the fall semester. CHE professional and peer advisors will be scheduled in the office, on alternating days, to comply with university guidance. Each staff member has an individual office that meets the university’s social distancing guidelines. Offices will be sanitized after each face-to-face meeting, and common areas will be thoroughly cleaned every hour. Appointments will be scheduled on a staggered basis to limit congestion at our main desk; however, there is adequate space to meet social distancing guidelines as students wait for an advisor to greet them. Students will be asked to arrive at the CHE office no more than five minutes before their scheduled appointments. There is no need to call ahead of time unless the participant needs to reschedule. Students will have their temperatures checked at the time of check-in, and if they have a fever, they will be asked to reschedule. If students are not feeling well, please do not come to the office, call and reschedule for a later time.

The NHS Advising Center will be staffed at 50% capacity each day (no more than 3 people) and will be open for appointments in-person Monday - Friday 8am-4pm. Students should schedule an appointment with their advisor via our website at https://www.unco.edu/natural-health-sciences/advising/. For in-person appointments, students must wear a mask, maintain 6 foot distance and will have their temperature taken upon arrival. If their temp is above 100.4 their appointment will be rescheduled.

Students should call or email for an appointment.  The office is not staffed every day, and most of the time parking personnel are in a work from home status.  If personnel need to come into the office parking is scheduling only one person in the office at a time. 

If a service cannot be resolved by phone, computer, or mail, parking may meet with a person at the foyer of Gray Hall.  This should be a rare exception as most services can be completed online.

Same operations as normal except with more contact by phone.  Students do not need to call in advance, if the service has to be in person they can check in at the front window 24-7.  Interviews and other services are normally with one officer and one person, and are confined to identified rooms (such as the interview room or conference room) only.

Respond to calls, meet in person.  Interviews will occur at Gray Hall when appropriate.  Most services will take place outside of Gray Hall. Building is in lockdown unless escorted by an officer.  Front window is open 24-7.
