Nancy Sileo is a Professor of Early Childhood Special Education / Early Childhood Education and has been in the field of education for over 26 years. She earned her Ed.D. from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in 1998 and was on faculty at UNLV for 14 years before returning to UNC in 2012 as Assistant Dean for the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Sileo is author and coauthor of myriad publications in the fields of teacher education / special education / ECSE teacher education, as well as numerous publications related to HIV/AIDS prevention education and research. She also co-authored a book on working with families of children with special needs. Nancy joined the Provost's Office in 2017 and her current responsibilities include the management of short and long-term critical priorities, initiatives, and activities that relate to Academic Affairs operations. She has a deep commitment to the academic mission of the University, to equity and inclusion, and principled leadership.
