Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree in nursing, master's degree in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and post-graduate APRN certificates at the University of Northern Colorado are all accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accreditation agency (officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education).

CCNE serves the public interest by assessing and identifying programs that engage in effective educational practices.

When going through the accreditation process, accreditors evaluate facilities, staff, faculty, course requirements and educational standards to assess an institution's capability to provide students with an education that helps them excel in the workforce.
