October 15, 2021 — Dan Satriana, vice president, general counsel and secretary to UNC’s Board of Trustees, announced today that he will be retiring this winter. Satriana has been at UNC for 11 years, serving as the university’s attorney and primary source of legal advice.
Colorado’s Free Application Day Extended to Three Days
October 13, 2021 — There are a few changes to the fourth annual Colorado Free Application Day. This year, it has expanded to three days instead of just one starting on Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. During that time, the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is waiving application fees for undergraduate applicants submitted by Colorado residents.

UNC Receives Grant That Will Help Strengthen Colorado's Teaching Workforce
September 3, 2021 — UNC was selected in a highly competitive grant process, as a recipient of a $850,000 Colorado Scholarship Opportunity Initiative (COSI) Back to Work grant. The funding will provide new career paths for workers displaced by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic while also addressing the need for teachers in Colorado’s classrooms.
UNC Appoints Interim Provost for 2021-22 Academic Year
June 17, 2021 — University of Northern Colorado President Andy Feinstein announced on June 17 that Lisa Vollendorf, Ph.D., has been appointed as interim provost for the 2021-22 academic year. Vollendorf brings 26 years of higher education experience to UNC and has held numerous leadership roles, including provost, dean, department chair and Academic Senate chair. She will start her new role on July 1, 2021.

Ceremony Formally Introduces UNC’s 13th President
