Slykhuis' research focuses on technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge (TPACK)
in science education. In addition to his role as assistant dean, he directs UNC Mathematics
and Science Teaching (MAST) Institute and is professor of Science Education. He's
also the chair of the National Technology Leadership Summit and past president of
the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education.
