Services for Community Borrowers

Borrower's Card

Any resident of Colorado may get a Community Borrower's card at the University Libraries. To get a card, fill out an application at the Michener main desk or Music Library circulation desk. If you would like to fill out the application before visiting the library, click here to download a PDF.

You must show a photo ID. If your photo ID does not show your current Colorado mailing address, you will also be asked to present something that verifies your address. Examples include cancelled mail, an emailed bill or notification containing your address, checkbook, or vehicle registration.

Your card will be mailed to you, and will be valid for one year.

Borrowing Materials

Community borrowers may check out up to 20 items at one time. Items may be renewed twice. Community borrowers may not check out or renew items if they have any unpaid library fines.

Prospector and Interlibrary Loan services are not available to community borrowers.

Online Library Resources

Community borrowers may use online library resources while in Michener or Skinner Libraries. Public computers are available on the 1st floor of Michener Library and in the Computer Commons in Skinner Music Library.

Remote access to databases and online journals is not available to community borrowers.
