I know, right? It seems like you just filed it for this year.

As a convenience to getting the FAFSA completed ahead of time, the federal government has opened the filing of the upcoming year 2019-2020 FAFSA to begin October 1.

To help you out, Financial aid counselors from UNC will be on hand helping students fill out their FAFSA from 3-5 p.m. October 28 at Riverside Library and Cultural Center, 3700 Golden Street in Evans.

This is a great opportunity to fill out the application, ask questions and get professional assistance in filling it out.

You will need your FSA ID to log into the application so if this is your first time filling it out, you’ll need to create a FSA ID and may want to do this several days prior to the event so you can log in and access the application.

Some things you will may need to bring with you beside your 2017 tax forms are any records of your untaxed income, assets, list of schools you are interested in attending and more.  Check out these tips in filing the FAFSA the Department of Education provided.

For more financial aid information, please feel free to contact a financial aid counselor by phone at 970-351-4862, email or by visiting with our walk-in counselor from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Campus Commons.
