UNC has a variety of support services available for you. From academic advising, tutoring, counseling, and more. UNC is committed to helping students outside of their classroom. 

These are the support services available here at UNC:

There are many academic resources on campus such as Tutoring, New Student Orientation, Major Exploration and more.

CHE is a TRIO funded program that offers academic help to selected first-generation students. Every year they accept about 70 students. They provide a welcoming community that will help guide you through your academic journey.

Tutorial Services is a free service for students. They offer satellite and night tutoring options. To get started in the Tutorial Services head down to the lower level in Michener (L-149) and schedule an appointment. They are open from 8am-5pm, you can also schedule the appointment individually or with a small group.

The Student Health Center is a walk-in clinic that is available for all UNC students. The health center is located on central campus in Cassidy Hall. Most insurance plans can also be billed.

At the Writing Center, tutors will not edit your work, however, they will provide you with knowledge on how to revise your work. The Writing Center is located in Ross Hall, Room 1230. You can schedule an appointment from Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm. They also have walk-in tutoring in Michener Library Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6-8pm.

The Counseling Center is a place where students can seek for help. The services are free for all UNC students. They are located in Cassidy Hall, second floor and are open Monday to Friday from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.

Career Services can assist you with deciding on your major, resumes, cover letters, discovering job and internships, graduate programs, interviewing skills and of course career information. Career Services is located in the University Center on the second floor and is open Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm.

Safety is a priority on campus, the UNC Police Department is a full-service police agency.

The Campus Recreation has a variety of programs to fit students needs, The Rec Center also has services that students can access at any time.

Michener Library is to all students. Students have the opportunity to reserve rooms and equipmet, get support from staff and borrow materials.

Disability Resource Center Office is located in Michener Library (L-80) and it is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. DSS offers many services and is committed to recognize disability as a valued aspect of diversity.The 7 Strong are also available to students there are four Cultural Centers on campus. They provide academic, social and emotional support. The other student engagements are also listed below. 

The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center is located at 2215 10th Ave and is open Monday- Thursday from 8am-7pm and Friday from 8am- 5pm. Their mission is to advocate and support all identities in the community.

The Center for Women's & Gender Equity is located in Scott-Wilcoxon Hall in central campus. It is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. This center has many resources, area to study, and more. There are also events and programs throughout the year to raise awareness about women and gender issues.

Veterans Services supports military students. They are located in Roudebush Cottage on central campus. They will provide students with resources and opportunities.There are many resources and support services here at UNC.
