There’s so much to do to prepare for the fall like getting ready for midterms, winterize the car, decorate the dorm room for the holidays and complete the 19-20 FAFSA application.
As part of the increase to prepare students and parents for filling out the application earlier than later, the Dept. of Education will open the 2019-2020 FAFSA application on Oct. 1 for aid in the upcoming year.
The last thing you want to do wrong is make mistakes on your 19-20 FAFSA application so, to help you prepare for it, the Department of Education has prepared some tips on what not to do.
Everything from meeting the deadlines, getting and FSA ID before you start the application and using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the application discussed on the website.
But if that is not enough help to get you by, feel free to contact a UNC financial aid staff member to help you field out any issues you may have on the application.
