This campus initiative has been expired, but we continue to do great work in our community. Keep up the good work UNC Bears!
Join your fellow Bears in a campaign to support our community by sending cards to individuals at UNC and in the Greeley area! You don’t need to worry about the cards, envelopes, or stamps, because the Office of Student Organizations (OSO) will take care of that for you. You don’t even have to write the message if your brain is tired of all those writing assignments, OSO will write a message for you if you prefer.
It is important during these times of social distancing that we come together to continue to help our neighbors and the greater community. UNC's Office of Student Organizations understands that our community of Bears are individuals who want to do just that–provide a helping hand. So the Office of Student Organizations has created "United to Nurture our Community," a UNC card campaign that allows UNC students, faculty, and staff to provide a special message or creative works to be shared with high-risk individuals during this coronavirus pandemic.
Working with the Office of Academic Community Engagement, we've identified nursing home patients and assisted living residents, healthcare staff, and/or UNC students remaining on campus. If you would like to send a message, artwork, or other activities, just send the info to the Office of Student Organizations and we will take care of the rest.
How to Participate
- Choose a recipient group: high-risk individuals including nursing home patients and assisted living residents, healthcare staff, and/or UNC students remaining on campus.
- Write a message (Unsure what to write and would rather us create a message for you? We've got you covered there too!)
- OSO writes and mails the cards
- Joy is delivered!
It only takes a few minutes to unite and show the community that UNC Bears care!
