Hi there! My name is Shea Ortiz and I am the Mentor Program Coordinator for Native American Student Services. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and from the Tewa Tribe of San Ildefonso Pueblo. I just finished my second year at UNC studying Business Administration with and Emphasis of Management and a Minor in Global Affairs. I am active in many clubs and groups on campus from American Indian Student Organization to a business fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi.

My first year at UNC, I was mentored by an upper classman, which helped guide me through my first year in college. From then on, I fell in love with the mentoring program because it guided me when I needed it, assisted in strengthening my campus connections and helped me grow as person and student, and my mentor was there every step of the way. I am passionate about building connections as a Mentor Coordinator that will help you succeed in every aspect of your life, academically, professionally, and personally. I look forward to what the year brings and having a great time with you! If you would like more information, please reach out to me at shea.ortiz@unco.edu.
