Are you a first-year student who identifies as Native American?
You may be interested in joining our mentorship program! While it may seem like the journey has just begun, at UNC we want to make sure that you are supported and feel welcomed in your transition to UNC.
Through the Native American Student Services (NASS) mentoring program, you will be paired with a successful UNC student of color who is eager to share insight and support to help you find success here at UNC. You will meet weekly and discuss your academic, social, and personal progress throughout your college experience.
Along with the weekly meetings, you will be included in our monthly socials with all of our mentors, mentees, and NASS student staff. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to build a personal connection with your mentor, and foster a community with other Native American students on campus.
Interested in participating in this program?
Contact the Dr. Eryka Charley, Director of Native American Student Services, or Kaila Ward, Event Coordinator.
We look forward to hearing from you and helping you through your college journey!
