Center for Women's and Gender Equity Fall Book Club: Chapter 9-12 Meeting Review

Join the CWGE as we embark on the next chapter of our journey of our virtual book club. Over the course of the Fall 2020 semester, we will be reading "I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban" and holding space to debrief, process and have conversations surrounding the contents of the book and it's relevance to how important education is, especially for women and girls, and how access is limited.

Indigenous People's Day 2020

Indigenous People’s Day is recognized on the second Monday of October. What began as a counter-celebration of the resistance and resilience of the indigenous communities of the United States in protest of Columbus Day. Italian explorer, Christopher Columbus, is often touted as the “founder” of the Americas, however, not only is this narrative inaccurate it is damaging and contributes to the erasure and violence of Indigenous peoples, historically and contemporarily.
