UNC has a live-on campus housing requirement. Please review the live-on campus requirement and confirm that you are eligible to live off-campus BEFORE signing any leases.
Are you eligible to live off-campus? Check the list below:
- Are you 21 years old or older?
- Do you have 20+ semester credit hours that have been earned after high school graduation (or equivalent)? Credits earned through Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) or concurrent enrollment with high school do not apply towards the live-on requirement.
- The on-campus housing contracts are either for the academic year or 12-months. Moving out at the end of fall semester for the residence halls or before the 12-month contract at Arlington Park Apartments is complete could make you financially responsible for both leases.
- You have read the UNC Live-On Campus requirement and confirmed that you are eligible to live off campus with the UNC Housing & Residential Education Office. If you are unsure, please call us at (970) 351-2721.
