This group exhibition asks you to consider what we have gained\, what we have lost and what it means to seek genuine community in an increasingly fragmented world. \n\nON VIEW IN OAK ROOM GALLERY\n \nItalian Studies by Margaret Bohls\nSeptember 3–October 9\nArt Walk & Reception: Thursday\, September 17\, 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nItalian Studies presents a striking examination of historical ceramics from the Italian peninsula\, drawing inspiration from objects from the Villanovan and Etruscan civilizations and vessels of ancient Apulia. Through still-life-like groupings that echo the didactic museum displays that informed Bohls’ research\, this exhibition invites you to look closely at the forms\, histories and meanings of these remarkable pieces.

García uses bold graphics\, prints\, projections\, and interactive play to connect aliens and outer space to colonialism\, Western expansion and life today. \n\nON VIEW IN MARIANI GALLERY \nREFUSE by Shelby Shadwell \nJanuary 19–February 25 | Mariani Gallery \nREFUSE presents large-scale charcoal drawings and oil paintings that turn trash bags\, animal remains\, and emergency blankets into intensely detailed\, almost glowing images. These works may both unsettle and captivate you\, opening space to question what counts as “low” or “high” in art and how beauty is constructed. \n\nON VIEW IN OAK ROOM  GALLERY \nPaintings by Allan Bennetts \nFebruary 2–March 10 | Oak Room Gallery \nThis exhibition invites you to look again at everyday technologies\, especially once they stop working as intended. DESCRIPTION:ON VIEW: March 8–April 11\nArt Walk & Reception:Thursday\, March 25\, 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nFred Myers Retrospective \nArtist Fredric “Fred” Myers taught Drawing and Painting at UNC for nearly thirty years and was a pillar of the Greeley Art Community. Hired by John Mariani in 1968\, Myers made a name for himself as a popular and cherished landscape artist\, mainly focusing on Colorado’s Front Range.
