SUMMARY:Concerts Under the Stars: Trash Cat
DESCRIPTION:Grab your lawn chairs and pack a picnic for an unforgettable evening of music under the open sky! Concerts Under the Stars is a free concert series that welcomes a diverse lineup of musicians to UNC Garden Theatre on Tuesdays in July. This Greeley summer tradition is hosted by the UNC School of Music. \n\nTrash Cat uses their music to ride a see-saw between tender-heartedness and absurdity inspired by their favorite cartoons and pop culture. They are a quirky combo personally and instrumentally\, consisting of Mary Claxton on electric ukulele\, Hayden Farr on baritone saxophone\, and Brian Claxton on drums. Trash Cat loves to make their audiences dance\, smile\, and hug their inner child. Formed in 2018\, Trash Cat has played for a variety of venues such as Indie 102.3\, O’Dell Brewing\, Greeley Friday Fest\, and the Flying V Sessions at Wolverine Farms. Their style is at home in a club\, singing books at an elementary school\, and even conventions like Fort Collins Comic Con and the VINCON Vintage Video Game Convention. Trash Cat is also the musical voice behind Little Roar and His Big Family\, a preschool cartoon celebrating diversity in families.

SUMMARY:Return of the Corn Mothers
DESCRIPTION:ON VIEW: July 15–October 15\nArt Walk & Reception: Friday\, October 2\, 5-8 p.m. \nReturn of the Corn Mothers 2026 honors four years of community effort celebrating the women of Weld County who embody the spirit of Colorado’s farming and agricultural heritage\, including UNC Professor Emeritus Dr. Genevieve Canales. Featuring more than 70 photographic portraits\, along with anthologies of biographies\, philosophies and life stories\, this exhibition pays tribute to the women whose legacies continue to shape and inspire the region. (Sponsored by Chicano Humanities Arts Council\, AARP\, Colorado Folk Arts Council\, UNC Dept. of China/o and Latinx Studies\, University of Northern Colorado\, ACTS Community Fund) \n\nON VIEW IN MARIANI GALLERY\n \nHello\, Hello\, Baby\nAugust 31–October 9\nArt Walk & Reception: Thursday\, September 17\, 4:30-6:30 p.m.\n \nHello\, Hello\, Baby explores the profound transformation of the mobile phone\, one of the most influential devices to reshape modern life. From status symbol to constant companion\, the phone has become an intimate\, contradictory force that changes how we connect\, pay attention and understand ourselves. This group exhibition asks you to consider what we have gained\, what we have lost and what it means to seek genuine community in an increasingly fragmented world. \n\nON VIEW IN OAK ROOM GALLERY\n \nItalian Studies by Margaret Bohls\nSeptember 3–October 9\nArt Walk & Reception: Thursday\, September 17\, 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nItalian Studies presents a striking examination of historical ceramics from the Italian peninsula\, drawing inspiration from objects from the Villanovan and Etruscan civilizations and vessels of ancient Apulia. Through still-life-like groupings that echo the didactic museum displays that informed Bohls’ research\, this exhibition invites you to look closely at the forms\, histories and meanings of these remarkable pieces.
