SUMMARY:Art Walk & Reception
DESCRIPTION:ON VIEW: October 19-November 20\nArt Walk & Reception: Thursday\, October 22\, 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nTransfer Points by Ana M. Lopez\nMariani Gallery \nTransfer Points turns your attention to the hidden infrastructure that shapes everyday life\, reframing air conditioning as both necessity and symbol of power\, labor and privilege. Through enameled rooftop panels\, sculptural forms and layered textures inspired by global ceramic traditions\, Ana M. Lopez calls you to see the overlooked systems above us in a striking new way. \n\nON VIEW: October 15-November 20\nArt Walk & Reception: Thursday\, October 22\, 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nLand\, Sea & Air by Shawn Bush\nOak Room Galleries \nLand\, Sea & Air examines how the world is divided and organized into land\, sea and air through systems that assign value and structure to territory. Using familiar images and studio-made scenes\, Shawn Bush shows how these systems shape what you see\, creating a sense of order while revealing that these structures are not as stable as they appear.
