I joined the University of Northern Colorado in 2002 as a Librarian.
Since joining UNC, the most rewarding part has been helping students with their research at Michener Library, followed closely by serving as a member of the Institutional Review Board that ensures the ethical treatment of research participants.
My approach to my role as a DRC Faculty Ambassador is largely inspired by my mindfulness practice (qi gong) and my experience as a disabled person with Parkinson’s disease.
I am a graduate of the Community College of Denver, the University of Colorado at Denver, and Emporia State University, where I majored in Paralegal Studies, Sociology, and Library Science. I currently live in Greeley with my husband Fred, within walking distance of campus. When I’m not keeping busy with the New York Times crossword puzzle or challenging my husband to a game of Scrabble, you can find me writing poems.
If you’re looking for someone to talk to about my work with the Disability Resource Center, reach out via email: email@example.com.
