I joined the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in 2017 as an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychological Sciences.
Since joining UNC, the most rewarding part has been working with our unique student population, as they are some of the most intrinsically motivated students that I’ve taught. I’ve also found working with student-centered UNC faculty and staff extremely rewarding, as well as inspiring.
My approach to my role as a DRC Faculty Ambassador is largely inspired by my background in behavioral neuroscience, which you’ll find reflected in my attempt to demystify physical and mental health disabilities through education and awareness of the (neuro)biology underlying these conditions.
I am a graduate of Miami University, where I received a PhD in Psychology. I currently live in Greeley with my wife, Melissa Lea, and our dog Lilly. When I’m not keeping busy with work at UNC, you can find me listening to live music and taking advantage of living in Colorado by traveling and hiking.
