Faculty Ambassador Program
Our mission for the Faculty Ambassador Program is to create a collegial network to ensure that all DRC stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge, resources, and best practices to promote success and a positive educational experience for disabled students at UNC. We invite you to consider being an Ambassador to serve as a liaison between DRC and your department colleagues and students.
Program Highlights

Two year commitment

Quarterly Ambassador Meetings (to replace the ‘DSS Advisory Board’)

Comprehensive DRC/Equity and Inclusion Training (offered at the inaugural board meeting Fall 2019)
- Faculty ambassadors will be featured on the DRC website
Faculty Ambassador Duties

Serve as a liaison between DRC and academic areas to help address disability or DRC related questions or concerns for both students, staff, and faculty

Propose and help plan/facilitate campus disability awareness activities in partnership with academic/student affairs areas.

Propose and help plan/facilitate additional instructor trainings (e.g. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) workshops)

Attend/ provide ideas for an end of year faculty recognition event
