Holmes Dining Hall

The DASH

The DASH is one of our most popular food stations! It was created to accommodate those who have special dietary needs and food allergies/sensitivities.

The DASH also gives you an area where you can consistently find healthy items that follow specific nutritional guidelines.

This station is available during lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday AND brunch and dinner on the weekends.

Important Disclaimer: There are no milk, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, or wheat ingredients used to prepare items on The DASH menus. Items at The DASH are prepared in a facility and with equipment that could come into contact with these items. Our staff is trained in preventing cross-contact of these items during preparation and service of DASH menu items. Where is The DASH located?

During the Fall and Spring semesters, The DASH is located in these dining locations:

  • Holmes Dining Hall: between Wok 'n Roll and Home Plate
  • Tobey-Kendel Dining Room: south end of Wok 'n Roll

When we are open during the summer, The DASH is located in these dining locations:

  • Holmes Dining Hall: between Wok 'n Roll and Home Plate
  • UC Food Court: The Heat Is On station

The DASH Standards

  • Allergens: all items must be free of the following: milk, eggs, gluten, peanuts, shellfish, soy, and tree nuts
  • Starch: whole grains at least 3 lunches and 3 dinner per week
  • Vegetables: grilled, steamed, or roasted

Nutritional Guidelines

  • Less than or equal to 30% of the total calories from fat
  • Less than or equal to 10% of the calories from saturated fat
  • No trans-fats
  • Less than 800 mg of sodium per serving
