Quality nutrition is the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. The food you eat directly impacts your energy, focus, and ability to perform at your best.

Here at UNC, we strive to provide a positive dining experience for our customers. We address a variety of specific dietary needs based on common food sensitivities, cultural diversities, medical conditions, and personal preferences.

Our mission is to provide quality food and service to the campus community while promoting nutritional awareness and meeting culinary needs.

Holmes Dining Hall

The DASH is a specialty line that provides foods that are free of 7 of the 8 most common allergens and is available at both Holmes Dining Hall and Tobey-Kendel Dining Room.

While UNC Dining Services does not have allergen-free kitchens or allergen-free dining locations, we take every precaution to ensure cross-contamination does not occur.

Please remember that ingredients and nutritional content may vary. Manufacturers may change their product formulation or consistency without our knowledge, and product availability may fluctuate. While we make every effort to identify nutrition data and allergen information, we cannot assure against these contingencies.

It is the responsibility of the customer with food allergies or other specified nutritional concerns to make the final judgment on whether or not to question the ingredients of a food item or to choose to eat the foods selected. Guests are encouraged to consider the information provided, to their own satisfaction, in light of their individual needs and requirements.
