We also provide information and assistance to campus partners who work with international students and scholars.

Updated Insurance Information

In June of 2019, the UNC Board of Trustees passed new university policies regarding international student insurance. All policies must meet the minimum requirements specified for international students to be waived out of the university insurance. If students do not demonstrate comparable coverage, they will not be able to waive the insurance. This new policy helps the university to remain compliant with federal regulations.

Complete the UNC International Student Insurance Waiver Form and submit it to International.Advising@unco.edu with a copy of your policy to be waived from UNC insurance.

CIE Airport Transportation Suspended

As a result of State and University policy updates related to COVID-19, which restrict the number of occupants and time spent in State vehicles, we are not able to offer airport transportation until further notice.  To get to or from Denver International Airport, there are still multiple options: Greeley Shuttle has resumed services on a limited basis, Groome Transportation is also resuming services.  There is bus service to Union Station with a changeover to rail or a second bus to the airport by Amtrak, and of course ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available.  The Denver International Airport has updated lists of transportation providers on their website.

UNC Exchange Visitor J1 Program Survey

As you are preparing to complete your J-1 program at the University of Northern Colorado, we request that you complete a brief survey.  Your answers and comments will assist us in our annual reporting to the U.S. Department of State on the value of the J-1 Exchange Visitor program as well to provide helpful comments on ways we can better serve future visiting scholars in the UNC community. Please access the survey here.
