Multi-Tiered Systems of Support In Post-secondary Education
The role of the school psychologist in post-secondary education is considered invaluable. Our team is interested in how school psychologists can support an ever-growing population of diverse students attending post-secondary institutions through evidence-based practices.
Mindfulness Based Interventions in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
The implementation of mindfulness based interventions (MBI) in schools, including schools with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), varies widely. Our team is interested in finding out to what extent interventionists can tailor an evidence-based MBI intervention dose as a way to meet the needs of students, teachers, and schools simultaneously.
School Mental Health Climate
The global impact of COVID-19 and the social unrest of 2020 has contributed to physical, economical, social, and psychological distress. Our team is interested in evaluating the effects and trends of the Covid-19 pandemic and the increased awareness of social justice that were exacerbated in 2020 on our student body at the University of Northern Colorado across the next two years (2020-2022).
