Jannessa Kitchin

Professional/Academic Experience

Jannessa Kitchin is a school psychology doctoral student from the University of Northern Colorado. She will be completing her internship at Volunteers of America (formerly Peak Wellness) for the 2021-2022 school year. Jannessa has five years of experience working with adolescents with various disabilities and mental health needs as well as adults with serious mental illness. Professionally, she hopes to become a licensed psychologist and continue to work directly with these populations to help them reach their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals to improve their lives. Jannessa’s research focuses on resilience and inclusion if at-risk populations. In her free time, Jannessa enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, gardening, playing the bass, and spending time with her family.
