Welcome to the second annual Campus Recreation Distance Challenge. Last year the challenge came about as we headed into the pandemic lockdown. However, lockdown or not, we all had a great time with this event and are excited for year two! The goal of the challenge is to get everyone moving and completing as many miles during the month of April through running, jogging or walking! Below you can see the impressive accumulation stats from our over 70 participants last spring.
Of course with any event there needs to be some prizes. Just like last year participants will be awarded a different level of prizes based on the amount of miles they complete during April. Additionally, the distance challenge will include goal setting, weekly challenges, and community interactions through the strava app to fuel your progress throughout the event. In celebration of our Campus Rec 360 campaign we are excited about collaborations with other areas of rec such as Outdoor Pursuits and Fitness to further enhance the distance challenge in year two.
