On Being a Bear

Norma joined the team as Assistant Director of Alumni Relations in 2019 but has been a UNC Bear for years. She earned her B.A. in 2012 as a Stryker Scholar and spent four years as an employer relations specialist in the Center for Career Readiness before joining the alumni relations team.

Now a part of UNC's division of university advancement, Norma builds the alumni relationships and programs that strengthen the UNC Bear Network. This includes organization of UNC's alumni career services, alumni career panels for students and outreach to alumni employers.
