Logging into the Server
FrontPage
In FrontPage 2000 and 2003:
To place your site or page in your UNC Web directory, choose file->publish web. The resulting dialog box asks for the username and password - please use the name and password you requested on the WWW server application form.

It is important to type in the text of wfunco\ before the username, such as wfunco\rjohnst. This tells the system to look on the server of wfunco for your permissions. Your logon will not work without the wfunco\. Please note the last character is a back slash.

In FrontPage 2002 (XP):
To place your site or page in your UNC Web directory, choose file->publish web. The resulting dialog box asks for the username, password and domain - please use the name and password you requested on the WWW server application form. The domain name for the third text box is wfunco.
FTP activity does require a UNC VPN connection to publish from off campus but, since it uses a different functionality, you can use FrontPage to publish a page from a computer off campus.
