I am the Director of Web Communications here at Northern Colorado and have been in the position since it was created in 1999. The activities of my day can range from drafting policy statements to fixing a typo on a Website. I work with a small but talented Web team as well as my colleagues in Media relations, Marketing and Strategic Communications. Our office works with a wonderful variety of campus areas and we provide assistance based on the needs and skills of the people in each area.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and the elements that stand out for me are working with the Web students and helping campus areas take a large amount of information and organize it in a user-friendly way. Life in the Web world is never boring and that’s a good thing.
I am the Webmaster for the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) where I am responsible for coding top level websites, building web applications and assisting web authors on campus.
I have been building websites since 1994 and currently operate a handful of music sites. With my spare time I enjoy skiing, photography, home brewing and going out with friends.
I have been designing and building websites for almost 20 years. With a degree in Computer Graphics, over the years I have also trained myself to do the coding of the websites I design. My father was a programmer and some of my fondest memories are going to work with him on the weekends, watching him work with the massive mainframe computers. Being a creature of change, I am very well suited for the web world and it's ever evolving state. I am very excited with the opportunity I have to work here at the University. Even more excited about the great team I get to work with. .
Born and raised in Indiana I am a huge Colts fanatic. Even in my spare time I can't get enough computer time and I love geeking out on my Macs, Apple TV, and the Wii. Being married and a father of two young children I love being with my family. We travel and camp a lot. If we aren't flying to our next vacation spot you will find us pulling our camper to the mountains.
