Ronna Johnston

Ronna JohnstonI am the Director of Web Communications here at Northern Colorado and have been in the position since it was created in 1999. The activities of my day can range from drafting policy statements to fixing a typo on a Website. I work with a small but talented Web team as well as my colleagues in Media relations, Publications and Strategic Communications. Our office works with a wonderful variety of campus areas and we provide assistance based on the needs and skills of the people in each area.

I thoroughly enjoy my job and the elements that stand out for me are working with the Web students and helping campus areas take a large amount of information and organize it in a user-friendly way. Life in the Web world is never boring and that’s a good thing.

Mike Adams

Mike AdamsI am the webmaster for the university site. I check to make sure things are working, I develop web applications that use scripting technology, I troubleshoot problems, I learn new technologies in order to implement them, and I make sure that pages we work on are done correctly for accessibility and standardization.

I like working here very much. We have a great team that works together well, and we have forged some tremendous partnerships with other areas at the university. I work with some great people and I like to come to work in the morning.

I enjoy reading, movies, my sons and grandson, and I play bass in an acoustic band ("acoustic music with a bluegrass twist").

Dawood Suleman

I Design web pages for the University, and sometimes I program them as well. Other duties include supervising and training interns (sending them for coffee.)

Love to work for Web Communications. I started as an intern in the print department and slowly over time, Ronna Johnston and Michael Adams educated me in Web Design. The best part about working here is the opportunity to learn everyday. I can develop my ideas and try different things. We also get to work with all the other departments around campus which is always fun.  We have a great team of people here and we are not afraid of making fun of each other. I was born and raised in Kenya. Love Colorado, beautiful place, beautiful people. I do miss Zebras though.
