Thursday & Friday, July 11-12, 2013

Make plans now to join us in colorful Colorado this July at the upcoming UNC Summer Sneak Peek for out-of-state students!

If you’re looking for a university in Colorado that has great academic options, professors that will know you by name and loads of ways to get involved, then the University of Northern Colorado may be just right for you. Just an hour’s drive north of Denver, UNC is located in Greeley, Colorado, which neighbors the Rocky Mountains and boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year!

Our campus is small enough to be personal and welcoming, yet big enough to offer rich, diverse opportunities. You’ll be engaged inside the classroom and beyond. And you’ll become a part of an inclusive community that supports individuality and diversity. This is what makes UNC different. Don’t just take our word for it . . . come to our Sneak Peek this July and learn for yourself what we’re all about.

PRIVATE LIVES - LTR

NORTON THEATRE

Written at the height of writer Noel Coward’s comic powers in 1930, Private Lives has enjoyed multiple Broadway revivals and hundreds of productions in professional theaters over the last 80 years- largely because Private Lives is one of the most sophisticated, entertaining plays ever written. Elyot and Amanda, once married and now by chance honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, rediscover the old spark and impulsively run away together. Their aggrieved spouses follow them, and a roundelay of new partnerships are formed. Rated PG.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

How much will this cost?

Other than your transportation costs to get here, the only costs for you to attend event will be for the overnight accommodations. All meals (dinner on Thursday and breakfast and lunch on Friday) for the Sneak Peek participants and their guests are complimentary. In addition, tickets for the Little Theatre of the Rockies performance of Private Lives on Thursday night are complimentary as well if requested upon registration.

Where do we stay?

All Summer Sneak Peek attendees are invited to stay the night in North Hall, UNC’s newest residence hall! More details will be available after you register for the event, but rates range from about $45-68 per night for private accommodations! If you prefer to stay off-campus, there are plenty of great hotel or bed and breakfast options in Greeley, and many will give you a discounted rate if you mention that you are visiting UNC’s campus. If you would like personal recommendations on where to stay, please let us know.

How do we get there?

We’re easy to find and get to, whether you’re coming by car or plane. The closest major airport to UNC is Denver International (DEN) which is only about 50 miles from Greeley. For driving directions and shuttle information, simply click the link “Getting Here” on your left.

Do I need to come for both days?

No. However, to get the fullest UNC experience, we do recommend coming for both days, and staying in our residence hall. However, we understand that you may have other obligations and cannot commit to the entire event. So you have the option to either choose to come for both days (arriving on Thursday afternoon and finishing with lunch on Friday), or just one day (arriving Friday morning and staying through about 2pm). For your reference, the exact schedule is listed above.

Can Colorado residents come to this event?

Sorry, this event is exclusively designed and geared for out-of-state students. However, we’d still love to have you visit campus another time! Simply click “Schedule Your Visit” to get started.

What else can we do in Colorado?

We encourage you to make vacation out of your trip. July is a great month to visit and explore Colorado! Whether you want to make the quick drive up to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park or spend some time here in northern Colorado, you’ll find plenty of stuff to do. We’d be happy to suggest our favorite spots to you if you ask!

Do I need to pre-register?

Yes! You can register online right now if you’re ready. Don’t delay, as registration closes on July 5th!
